After more than 20 years of experience in the fields of risk management, sustainability and strategy, gained in prestigious fashion and luxury groups including Calvin Klein and Salvatore Ferragamo, Tonini arrives at the innovative SME founded by Ada Rosa Balzan.
The Board of Directors of ARB SBpA, an innovative SME specialising in sustainability analysis and plans for companies, a joint-stock benefit company since 2021, held on 9 June, made official the appointment of Veronica Tonini as ARB’s new CEO.
Specifically, Veronica Tonini will coordinate activities related to strategic planning and the strengthening of research and development, as well as innovation.
Veronica Tonini has more than 20 years of experience in risk management, sustainability and strategy gained in international audit firms and prestigious fashion and luxury groups. With a degree in Economics from the University of Florence, in 2019 she obtained the Sustainability Training for Business Leaders certification at New York University. Veronica Tonini began her career in 1999 at Arthur Andersen, then Deloitte & Touche, where she worked as a manager. From 2006 to 2012, she worked at the Warnaco Group, specialising in the design, production and distribution of clothing and accessories of the Calvin Klein brand, where she held the position of European Director of Internal Audit & Risk Management. In April 2012, she joined the Salvatore Ferragamo Group, where she held positions of increasing responsibility until 2023, including Chief Risk Officer & Sustainabiity Coordinator and Chief Strategy and Sustainability Coordinator. Since 2021 he has been an independent director of the listed company B&C Speakers and Chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee and Appointments Committee. Since the same year he has been a member of NedCommunity, the Italian association of non-executive and independent directors, members of corporate governance and control bodies, and since 2022 he has been an active member of the Reflection Group “Board Leadership and Sustainable Business” of NedCommunity. Since 2023 he has been a member of the Board of Directors of Il Borro, Sustainable Relais &Chateaux and organic winery owned by Ferruccio Ferragamo.
